Sorting not working fine for numeric field in Grid

Summary
Sorting functionality is not working fine for numeric field in Grid.
Steps to Reproduce
Add Column in the grid and enable sorting functionality.
For this particular column, containing numeric values (order IDs), when sorting in descending order; the largest numeric value is not loading at the top of the list.
Resolution
Numeric field defined is of type Identifier.
Identifier is A text string that contains no line break characters or double quote characters.
Property of Type identifier gets stored as Varchar type in the database.Hence,you can see only String Sorting not Numeric.
