Spaces display instead of special characters in outbound mails



Spaces display instead of single quotes (') and registered marks (®) in outbound mails.

Steps to Reproduce

Open any correspondence email. Spaces occur instead of single quotes (') and registered marks (®).

Root Cause

A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment. 

Encoding option on the mail server for outbound messages is not UTF-8. The mail content sent from Pega has the correct UTF-8 charset.


Perform the following local-change:

Modify the mail server encoding option for outbound emails to support UTF-8 charset.
