Special Char passed on URL(openURLinSpace) blocked by siteminder

Summary



User is using OOTB Pega JS function openURLInspace() in which he is passing URL containing apostrophe ('), which is getting blocked by the site minder and 403 exception is coming.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a SafeURL.
  2. Use openUrlInSpace to open the URL through site minder.


Root Cause



A third-party product issue: The site minder blocks the special characters like apostrophe,due to which 403 error occurs.
 

Resolution



 Either use pega.util.Connect.asyncRequest('POST', oUrl.toURL()) method or enable BadCssChar in the siteminder to enable the special characters.
