Special symbols in the file names are replaced with ASCII values



When file with symbol (For example, dollar sign) in it's name is attached to the work object, the file name changes to include an ASCII value instead of the symbol. For example, $ becomes $24.

Steps to Reproduce

Attach a file with a symbol (For example, dollar sign) in the file name.

Root Cause

An issue in the custom application code or rules. An encoded value was used to populate the file name when the file was attached.


Perform the following local-change:
Decode the below string that was used for the file name before saving the attachment:

NameOfMyFile = StringUtils.decodeCrossOSString(NameOfMyFile);
