SQL Exception could not set last update time running BIX

While defining extracts, the 'Use last updated time as start' option does not work. The extraction runs without using this filter and an error message is written to the logs.

Error Messages

SQL Exception could not set last update time

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Define the extract where the class which is extracted is mapped to an external database table.
  2. Select the Use last updated time as start option checkbox.
  3. Execute the extract.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.

The connection from the extract class is used to to access both the extract class and the Pega-Extract-Time class.

Perform the following local-change when the extract class table is in the same database but in a different schema: Grant privileges to the database user in that data source to access the pr_extract_time table required for the filter.

For example, grant insert, update, delete, and select previleges on yourRulesSchema.pr_extract_time to yourExtractUser.
