StackOverflowError When trying to open a case from the Work list

After updating from Pega 7.1.9, user submitting a step cause the system to throw a StackOverflowError and "Created Dump File due to null" before sending the assignment to the next step.

Opening the assignment afterwards fails to render the screen properly. pyWorkPage for the work object is null on the clipboard.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open any of the work items which contain the chain of references in review mode.
  2. Try to open the assignment.
  3. Observe the failure occur 9 times out of 10.

Root Cause

A reference to AP property fails to copy properly during Obj-Open-By-Handle. This is because auto population is disabled and the system tries to validate the source property during copy.

Apply HFix-29196 to resolve the issue.
