StringIndexOutOfBoundsException while consuming a WSDL

Summary



StringIndexOutOfBoundsException occurs while consuming a WSDL using the Connector wizard.


Error Messages



java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException: String index out of range: -13


Steps to Reproduce



Consume a WSDL that generates long rule names in the Pega application.


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules. A long base class name as well as long method names in WSDL were present.


Resolution

Perform the following local-change:

Use a shortened base class as well as abbreviated method names.
