Styles are not getting saved in report definition

SA-9730

Summary

The Style option provided in the column of Report Definition does not reflect in the report.

Error Messages

Not Applicable.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open report definition rule.
  2. Click on setting against a column.
  3. select a column format and set style and save.
  4. Run the report the style is not getting affected.
  5. Click on setting again Style disappers.

Root Cause

This is a design behavior. The Style property in the column format is for layout and not for specific to column property. And also since Report Definition is displayed using RepeatGrid layout, whatever Style we give in Report Definition gets overridden by the Style provided in Repeat Grid.

Resolution

Custom HTML Control can be used for this specific requirement.
