Subcases show in Open Assignments section even when resolved



Subcases continue to appear in the "Open Assignments" section of the parent case even after the subcases have been resolved.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Define a parent case and a subcase.
  2. From the parent case, initiate a subcase and add a Wait condition for the parent case to wait until the subcase is resolved.
  3. Run the case and resolve the child case and the parent case.
  4. Refresh the parent case.
  5. Observe that the child case continues to be listed in the "Open Assignments" section.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.


Perform the following local-change:

Replace the Java code in step 11 of pyPopulateCaseContentsWrapper activity with the code below:
// Create a clipboard page with the name stored in Param.ContentsPageOverride.
ClipboardPage pgAlternate = tools.createPage(tools.findPage("CaseContentsPage").getString("pxObjClass"), tools.getParamValue("AlternateCaseContentsPage"));

pgAlternate.putAll(tools.findPage("CaseContentsPage"), ClipboardPage.PUTALL_KEEPNEW);
ClipboardProperty results = pgAlternate.getProperty("pxResults");
java.util.Iterator contentIter = results.iterator();
  ClipboardProperty contentItemProp = (ClipboardProperty);
  ClipboardPage contentItemPage = contentItemProp.getPageValue();
