  1. Have simple question configured using question mode as FreeForm and Format being Text.

  3. Run the survey and we observe the difference in alignment between freeform text used directly from survey and custom section fields.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules

User has customized SimpleQuesitonFreeFormText section and modified the Presentation attributes 'Width' to '70%' instead of default '170 px'. Because of which when User  has a simple question confiured using question mode as CustomSection. Input fields in a custom section are displayed in-line with input fields configured using question mode as FreeForm and Format being Text.

As the survey rule SimpleQuestionSection is final users were not able to customize it as per their requirement. So the HFix-24844 makes this rule available so that users can customize it.

Resolution

Apply HFix-24844.
