SVG image is not rendered on Internet Explorer 8

Summary



User has created SVG logo files and configured them through RULE-FILE-BINARY rule in Pega.

While opening the pega screen in Internet Explorer 8, the SVG format logo does not get rendered.

Steps to Reproduce



1. Create a RULE-FILE-BINARY rule of extension type svg.
2. Upload a icon in svg format into the Binary rule.
3. Refer the Binary rule in a portal header through a image icon control.
4. Open Pega in
Internet Explorer 8.

Root Cause



Internet Explorer version 8 does not support svg format.
Support for svg file starts from
Internet Explorer 9.

Resolution



It is recommended to use later version of Internet Explorer 9+.
