SwitchApplication to CPM portal leaves artifacts from prior app



A user is logged in to a non-Customer Service(CS) portal and using a modal dialog to create a related case. When calling switchapplication to move to a new application and portal, the prior tab contents of the case remain. After the switchapplication calls the CPMInteractionPortal home tab does not get loaded correctly. The home tab shows the content of the case that was worked on in the non-CS portal.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Log in to a non-CS portal.
  2. Create a case via modal dialog.
  3. Leave the case open in the new tab and switch application to go to CS Interaction Portal.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules. Incorrect thread clean-up occurs within the redirectandrun activity.


This issue is targeted to be fixed in the future release Pega Platform 7.2.2.
