System Crashes / Hangs



The JVM becomes unresponsive and the application core dumps.

Error Messages

The core dumps were triggered by the ‘traceassert’ event from the IBM JVM as evidenced in the native_stderr file:

Root Cause

A third-party product issue:

IBM JDK defect.


Make the following change to the operating environment: 

Update the current JRE (R26_Java626_SR5_FP1_20130301_0937_B140166) to JRE 1.6 SR8FP15.
