tab defer issue for diffrent page context

Summary




User has configured a section and defer load activity. In that section, user set page context to other than defer load activity class. When user trying to set pre-load activity, defer load activity missing.


Error Messages



Defer Load Retrieval Activity: 
PreCoverPageDisplay does not exist for use by this record (Validate). 
Defer Load Retrieval Activity: 
PreSummaryInfoDisplay does not exist for use by this record (Validate). 
Defer Load Retrieval Activity: 
PreOtherSections does not exist for use by this record (Validate). 
Defer Load Retrieval Activity: 
PreAppendix does not exist for use by this record (Validate).


Steps to Reproduce



1.Create tabs in a tab group of Class 'A' each tab having a deferred load activity, 
2.Main section with this tabbed group will load on a page of class 'B' and deferred load activities are present in class 'B' and for each tab, the page context to run is given as a page of class 'A' 
3.In Pega 7.1.8 while saving the main section, it is throwing error as below 
Defer Load Retrieval Activity:xyz does not exist for use by this record (Validate). 
i.e; the system is searching for the defer load activity in Class 'A' 


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules :-

When deferload is configured from the section class it's throwing the error. Defer load activity is validating by using page class, in earlier versions deferload activity validated using section class.

Resolution



Apply Hotfix-24819.
