Target property already specified in another expression

Post upgrade to Pega 7.2.2, validation error occurs when the target property in an activity with a Property-Set is referenced in a declare expression. Hence, unable to save the property. This occurs with the property created in Pega 6 platform.

Error Messages

Target property already specified in another expression: RULE-DECLARE-EXPRESSIONS xyz- .PROCESSDEADLINE!

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a declare expression on any property.
  2. Use the target property of the declare expression as the target property of a Property-Set step.
  3. Save the activity.

Root Cause

An issue in the custom application code or rules.
The target property in the declare expression is defined in the expression rule form. Hence, another value cannot be set to it.

Perform the following local-change:

Remove the Property-Set from the activity (since it is already configured on the declare expression).
