Connect-SOAP Test  connection fails.


Error Messages



Caused by:
java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException 
at sun.reflect.NativeConstructorAccessorImpl.newInstance0(Native Method) 
at sun.reflect.NativeConstructorAccessorImpl.newInstance(NativeConstructorAccessorImpl.java:56) 
at sun.reflect.DelegatingConstructorAccessorImpl.newInstance(DelegatingConstructorAccessorImpl.java:39) 
at java.lang.reflect.Constructor.newInstance(Constructor.java:527) 
at com.pega.apache.commons.logging.impl.LogFactoryImpl.newInstance(LogFactoryImpl.java:526)..

Caused by:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/log4j/Logger 
at com.pega.apache.commons.logging.impl.Log4JLogger.<init>(Log4JLogger.java:102)


Steps to Reproduce



Perform a Test connection for the Connect-SOAP rule.


Root Cause



The log4j dependency in the class path was not present at runtime.


Resolution



As a local-change, import the log4j-1.2.16.jar.
