Test Connection for SOAP connector fails



Connect-SOAP Test  connection fails.

Error Messages

Caused by:
at sun.reflect.NativeConstructorAccessorImpl.newInstance0(Native Method) 
at sun.reflect.NativeConstructorAccessorImpl.newInstance( 
at sun.reflect.DelegatingConstructorAccessorImpl.newInstance( 
at java.lang.reflect.Constructor.newInstance( 
at com.pega.apache.commons.logging.impl.LogFactoryImpl.newInstance(

Caused by:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/log4j/Logger 
at com.pega.apache.commons.logging.impl.Log4JLogger.<init>(

Steps to Reproduce

Perform a Test connection for the Connect-SOAP rule.

Root Cause

The log4j dependency in the class path was not present at runtime.


As a local-change, import the log4j-1.2.16.jar.
