Tree Grid Layout Alignment is not proper in Google Chrome

A Tree grid layout, configured in a section, is misaligned in the Chrome browser.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

Configure a tree grid layout.

Root Cause

The issue occurs due to how the tree grid is implemented.

The tree grid, by design, consists of four sections as below,
  • The left header table (containing the first header which is an ul-li structure)
  • The right header table (containing all other headers and is a table)
  • The left body table (the first column apart from the header; this too is an ul-li structure)
  • The right body table (all other columns minus all other headers and this a table).
The rows in both the left and right body table are assigned the height according to the height configured at design time. However, if the height of any cell at runtime exceeds the height configured at design time, it forces the corresponding row (left or right) to increase and causes misalignment.

An enhancement request, FDBK-19900, has been created for consideration by Pega Product Management.
