UI field displays values in Exponential form

Summary



UI field displays values in the Exponential form (0E-9). In PostgreSQL, the Precision and Scale set on the column is (18,9). Hence, a value of 0 is stored as 0.000000000, which when fetched to the UI displays as 0E-9. This field contains a Decimal property type and pxNumber as the UI Control in the Pega application.

Steps to Reproduce



Log in to the Pega application. Verify the UI fields with the Precision and Scale set on the corresponding column. The values are 0E-9 instead of 0.


Root Cause



A software use or operation error.
The section with fields had their Presentation set to Formatted text.


Resolution



Perform the following local-change:

Use Number instead of Formatted text on the Presentation tab of the affected fields.
