Unable to access application after update

SA-34294

Summary



Unable to access application post upgrade of the servers and PRPC version.

Error Messages



Error 503: PegaRules server not available.

.UnknownLocalException: nested exception is: com.pega.pegarules.pub.PRRuntimeException: Error determining the mode of PRPC install from database.


Steps to Reproduce



Start the application server.

Root Cause



Wrong version of OJDBC driver (Ojdbc6) was used to connect to database.

Resolution



With Java 8 it is advised to use ojdbc7.jar in the support guide.
