Unable to add columns using "Edit Report" in Report Browser
User has several "wide" reports that contains large numbers of columns, column widths set to specific pixel widths for readability. When user brings up the Report Editor and adds a column to the report (drag and drop), the added column is not displayed. It appears to the user that the operation to add the column has not succeeded.
The column has actually been added to the report, it is just not visible acts as if it has zero width. It is also not selectable, either in the Report Editor or the Report Browser, so it cannot be adjusted or deleted.
No error message, but added column does not appear.
Steps to Reproduce
1. Create a report, and set the column widths to be large enough to overflow the browser window:
Run the report from the Report Browser, and click the Edit Report button to bring up the Report Editor:
Add a column to the report by dragging and dropping a property into the report:
There is no visible indication that the column has been added:
The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.
No nominal column width is assigned to new columns added to a report. If the other columns in the report have an assigned cumulative width that exceeds the width of the browser window, the added column will not be visible or selectable, either in the Report Editor or in the Report viewer. The added column behaves as if it has zero width.
