Error Messages

General Error: You are not authorized to create, modify, or lock instance DATA-ADMIN-REQUESTOR PRPC!BROWSER"

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is defect/misconfiguration in the PRPC operating environment.

A number of hotfixes had recently been installed.

Reviewing the PegaRULES log from the hotfix installation, a compile error was found to have been received during installation of one of the hotfixes, HFix-6349.

Resolution

This issue is resolved by making the following change to the PRPC operating environment:

HFix-6349 contained updates to a Rule-Utility-Function rule and this rule was the one with the compile error.

Removing the extract marker file from the Pega temporary directory caused the rule to be reassembled successfully.

Once HFix-6349 was successfully installed, the administrator was able to update the access group for prpc!BROWSER.
