Unable to connect multiple external Cassandra hosts

SA-39059

Summary

Unable to connect multiple external Cassandra instance hosts in a connect-cassandra rule.

Error Messages

error: Error: Connection error:
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Failed to add contact point: cassandra.host.one, cassandra.host.two, cassandra.host.three : Name or service not known

Steps to Reproduce

Attempt to list multiple cassandra instances in a connect-cassandra rule.

Root Cause

Pegasystems does not support comma-separated lists of hosts in a connect-cassandra rule.

Resolution

HFix-34518 enhances the connect-cassandra rule to add the feature of using a comma-separated list of cassandra hosts in the Connect rule.

With this hotfix in place you may use a comma-separated list:

cassandra.host.one, cassandra.host.two, cassandra.host.three
