Unable to deploy SOAP Service Package due to Service Class blank



After upgrade from PRPC 6.2 SP1 to Pega 7.1.9, our email SOAP Service call does not function. The Service Package rule form shows a blank Service Class value.

Error Messages

Unable to deploy. Please verify Service type and Deployment options. If problem persists, contact your system administrator and review log files for more information.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Send an email to Dev/Test environment- it is not processed
  2. Open Service Package rule and view error

Root Cause

A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment .


On the screenshare session along with the customer we identified that the issue was only with the design time and its working fine with runtime.
