Unable to download generated translation package

Summary



Unable to download the generated translation package after running the localization wizard from the Designer Studio.
Once the translation package has been assembled, the ZIP file is not downloaded automatically.

Software Stack contains:
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 11
  • Pega Customer Process Manager 7.1.3
  • Pega Customer Service for Insurance 7.1.3
  • Pega 7.1.8
  • Red Hat JBoss 6.3.0 EAP 
  • Red Hat Linux 6.6
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2012


Error Messages



HTTP 502 Bad Gateway error
 

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open the "Translate to New Language" wizard In Designer Studio (Designer Studio > User Interface > Localization Tools > Translate to New Language).
  2. Select the Language and click the Add button, then click Next.
  3. Select rulesets to localize. Click Next.
  4. Click Enable records for translation to begin the translation process for the selected records. Click Next.
  5. Select whether to include example files for translators. Click the Download for translation button to start the process. (This can take a few minutes.)


Root Cause



The root cause of this problem is a misconfiguration in the reverse proxy server. 

Resolution



After configuring the reverse proxy server the package is downloaded as expected.
