Summary

When editing a Decision Table in Excel using the 'Edit in Excel' button, the changes in Excel are not saved back to the rule form.
This is similar to the issue observed in Pega 7.1.6 which was due to expired digital certificates and fixed on that release with HFix-22814.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Have a Decision Table rule in Pega 7.1.8.
2. Click Edit in Excel.
3. Confirm that changes saved in Excel do not get updated back in the rule form.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules. The Excel digital certificates had expired.

Resolution

Apply HFix-24499.

NOTE:  It may be necessary to also apply HFix-23608 to resolve an issue with an error in Open Authoring after HFix-24499 has been installed.
