Unable to generate keyring file for Pega 7.1 BIX

Summary



Unable to generate a new keyring file for Pega 7.1 environment for BIX extracts to encrypt the db connection password.


Error Messages



java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:  com.pega.pegarules.crypto.KeyringImpl

Steps to Reproduce



Run script executing the KeyringImpl class.

Root Cause



A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment.  The Java command in the script is not setup correctly to execute the KeyringImpl class in Pega 7.1.

Resolution



Make the following change to the operating environment: 

Use the following article to set your classpath and what the actual Java command should look file when generating a keyring file in Pega 7.1.

Here is an example of what the command should look like:

java -Xmx512M -cp /opt/719/lib/ojdbc6.jar:/opt/719/config:/opt/719/lib/jsr94-1.0.jar:/opt/719/lib/prbootstrap.jar:/opt/719/lib/prdbcp.jar:/opt/719/lib/prbootstrap-api.jar com.pega.pegarules.pub.PegaRULES com.pega.pegarules.exec.internal.util.crypto.KeyringImpl <arguments>
