Unable to map integer attribute when attaching to the documentum
SA-42586
Summary
When user attaches a document to documentum, they are unable to map the integer attribute.
User is on Pega 7.2.1 and configured CMIS connector to save documents in Documentum.
User has updated the OOTB Activity “SaveFileContent” and added few attributes required for the Metadata.
One of the property is integer type defined at Documentum side and this is failing during mapping, when user attaches a document.
Error Messages
Failed to create document: Cannot access "http://server:<port>/cmis/resources/repositories/<some name>objects/0b00eeea8004b110/children": java.lang.String cannot be cast to java.math.BigInteger,Error Code=0
Steps to Reproduce
- Update the Out-of-the-box (OOTB) Activity “SaveFileContent” and added few attributes required for the Metadata.
- Add one property of type integer defined at Documentum side.
- Attach a document through the activity and it fails.
Root Cause
A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules
The CMIS Connector code does not follow the contracts defined by Chemistry Library.
CMIS request has an Integer value in it - because Pega is supplying Strings to an API that needs BigInteger objects, this issue occurs.
Resolution
Apply HFix-36369.
