Unable to modify passwords



When a user tries to modify the password of any Operator ID, a strange behaviour is observed.

After clicking the OK-button, the modal dialog does not go away. There is no error message displayed. The input field containing the password entered seems to be empty. The input field containing the repeated password is populated with many masked characters. The process does not move on and the passwords are not updated.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open an Operator ID.
2. Click on "Update Password" on the Security Tab.
3. Enter password and password confirmation and click OK.

Root Cause

The pySetPassword section was overriden and some changes were made on password encryption in the Pega 7.2.2 release.
