Unable to perform Obj-Save on external DB with Date property



Attempt to perform an obj-save (which includes a date property) into an external DB that is different than the one running Pega. This fails with the error mentioned below. Without having a date type property, the Obj-Save works fine.

Error Messages

Class is mapped to a table in database , which has column of unsupported type Date: code: SQLState: Message:

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Have a Class mapped to an external table on a database that is different than the one running Pega.
  2. Perform an Obj-Save from an Activity, be sure to include a date property. This will fail with the error mentioned above.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules. The issue occurs when a class is mapped to a table in external database which is not same as the database hosting Pega, and the external database is DB2 and table has a Date column.


Apply HFIX-23771 to resolve this issue.
