Unable to process the reopened assignment

Summary
User closes the assignment which is listed in the user worklist while processing two specific use cases. However, user finds two assignments with the same key which is not expected. Error message displays while processing one of the two assignments. However, the other assignment is processed correctly.

Steps to Reproduce
Close the pending assignment. Assignment is created multiple times in the worklist.
Root Cause
A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules. Commit is not performed to the database.
Resolution
Perform the following local-change:
Add a commit step to the activity which is invoked on closing the pending assignment.
