Unable to record Test Case for a flow with multiple assignees

Summary



Unable to record the Test Case of a work object when it is assigned to a different operator in a flow.


Error Messages

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a flow with two assignments.
  2. Route the work object to a different operator in the second assignment.
  3. From the Actions menu, click 'Record test case' to start recording. When the flow reaches the second assignment, unable to continue the recording as it is assigned to a different operator.


Root Cause



This behavior is as per Pega product design.


Resolution



Here’s the explanation for the reported behavior:

For Flows, Assignments must be routed to the current operator such that the recording of the flow continues and the system captures data as part of the test case.
