Support Article

Unable to refer to paramaterized date page in a Dialog rule

SA-52501

Summary

When referring to a property on the parameterized D_Interaction data page, it is incorrectly evaluated in a Dialog rule.

Error Messages

declare page parameters not supported by PropertyReference.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Refer a property reference from the D_Interaction page in a Dialog rule
  2. Configure a When condition to display the value when the property is set to True
  3. Load an Interaction and a service case such that the targeted dialog is displayed
  4. Run the flow

Root Cause

An issue in the custom application code or rules. At run time, the system should reference the decorated page name of the parameterized data page and not reference the page with the configured property.

This is discussed in the following PDN help article:

https://pdn.pega.com/sites/pdn.pega.com/files/help_v719/procomhelpmain.htm#rule-/rule-declare-/rule-declare-pages/parameters.htm?Highlight=data page parameters

Resolution

Perform the following local-change:
  1. Add a section in the Dialog rule
  2. In the new section, reference another section and add the data page name and parameters as the page context for the section
