Unable to run extraction by command line in Split Schema

Summary



When trying to run the BIX extraction process from the command line on a Pega 7.1.7 instance, an error is displayed and the extract fails to run.


Error Messages



Unable to load phase 2 bootstrap class: com.pega.pegarules.internal.bootstrap.phase2.PRBootstrapImpl
Oct 23, 2015 5:33:11 PM com.pega.pegarules.internal.bootstrap.PRBootstrap
SEVERE: Error initializing PRAppLoader
Throwable occurred: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.pega.pegarules.internal.bootstrap.phase2.PRBootstrapImpl


Steps to Reproduce



Run BIX with the provided configuration files.


Root Cause



A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment caused this issue. The prconfig.xml and prbootstrap.properties files were not configured correctly.


Resolution

Review the BIX User guide for instructions on how to configure BIX to run by command line, specifically the sections that are related to split schema: https://pdn.pega.com/documents/bix-71-user-guide
