Unable to run a segment



After upgrading to Pega Platform 8.2.1 and Pega Marketing 8.2, unable to run and populate a segment. The run never completes.

Steps to Reproduce

Create and  run a Segment.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.


Perform the following local-change: 
  1. Back up the database (specifically <Data schema>.pr_data table).
  2. Ensure that the configured Pega Decisioning Nodes are running.
  3. Shutdown the Pega Application Server node.
  4. Run the below queries to delete the agent schedules:

    select count(*) from v81data.pr_data where pxobjclass like '%Data-Agent-Queue%';
    delete from v81data.pr_data where pxobjclass like '%Data-Agent-Queue%';

  5. Restart the Pega Application Server nodes.
  6. Ensure that the configured Pega Decisioning Nodes are running.
  7. Wait for 10 minutes. Check the Agent Schedule to verify if all the Agent Schedules are recreated.
  8. If the Agent Schedule for PegaMKT-Engine is now available after performing the above steps, check the Enable option at the bottom of the Agent Schedule to enable the run for all the agents.
  9. Restart the Application Server node.
