Unable to save the circumstanced rules after major skimming

SA-72641

Summary

A rule is circumstanced by property and withdrawn in a higher version. The same rule is circumstanced by template. After a major skimming, error occurs when performing a Save As of the circumstanced template rule. Hence, unable to save the circumstanced rule.

Error Messages

pyCircumstanceProp–This rule already has a circumstance property defined (.TestProb): you cannot give it another

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a base version of the section rule in RSV: 01-01-01
  2. Circumstance the section rule by property in RSV: 01-01-01
  3. Withdraw the circumstanced rule created as part of RSV: 01-01-01 in RSV 01-01-02.
  4. Circumstance the base version by template in RSV: 01-01-03.
  5. Skim the rules to a higher RSV: 02-01-01.

Root Cause

During design time, validation of the rule did not consider the rules in the lower major ruleset  version.

Resolution

Apply HFix-50546.
