Unable to see any images or styles on the LDAP auth login screen

Images and styles are missing on the LDAP authentication (/prweb/PRWebLDAP1) login screen. The authentication works, but images are not visible on the login screen.

LDAP authentication uses the standard, Pega-provided activity (AuthenticationLDAP) with no customization.

When using an HTTP trace on loading the login page, you see the error in the server response.

Error Messages

Error 400: Unable to extract access group from URL for static content request. See logs for details.

Steps to Reproduce

Connect to the system using the LDAP authentication servlet, (/prweb/PRWebLDAP1).

Root Cause

A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment

The system was partially configured for IAC, and the /Authentication/RedirectGuests setting prevented the system from redirecting requests to the LDAP authentication servlet. Hence, static content (images and styles) could not be served properly. The /Authentication/RedirectGuests setting defaults to "true", and this setting should only be changed to "false" if using a PRGateway.

Perform the following local-change:
Remove the
/Authentication/RedirectGuests setting from the prconfig.xml file.
