Unable to unlock the Work Object

Summary



When the user has opened some work object in Node 1 and close the window abruptly, and login in a new session (this time request is routed to Node 2), user tries to open the same case, then it directs to the Lock Screen. When user tries to release the lock an error message  "Unable to Unlock the Work Object" appears. The same is works fine when the release lock operation is performed on the same Node (Node 1).

Unable to unlock the Work Object.

Steps to Reproduce



1.Lock the work object in Node 1.
2.Try to open the same interaction in Node 2. Then try the release lock option.


Root Cause



The root cause of this problem is defect/misconfiguration in the operating environment.

Missing setting in the prconfig file.


Resolution



This issue is resolved through the following Local-change: 

Install the  HFIX-8175 in the database and add the below setting in prconfig file and restart the server.

Note: You need to do this on all your node  before you perform you test.

<env name="database/lockcache/enabled" value="false"/>
