Summary

After upgrading from Pega 7.1.7 to Pega 7.1.8, Designer Studio options do not work. On clicking the link, an error is presented on screen.
Everything works fine with [email protected]. It also works when the AccessGroup is changed to use the default one provided by [email protected].

Caused by: com.pega.pegarules.pub.PRRuntimeException: Section 'pzGetMenu' execution error on page '' of class 'Pega-Landing'. : null

Steps to Reproduce

1. Install Pega 7.1.7 with CPM and CPMi.
2. Upgrade to Pega 7.1.8.
3. Follow the upgrade guide to perform the lock and roll. Error appears on screen when clicking the Designer Studio link.

Root Cause

This error is due to the configuration of the CPMI navigation rule, “pyMainMenu”. This rule uses a “Menu” option usually used for debugging purposes. This is an incorrect configuration:

Install HFix-22732 for a new version of the incorrect navigation rule.
