Unable to use PCS 7.22 after installation onto HCIF 7.23



When installing Product Composer System (PCS) 7.22 onto a server with Healthcare Industry Foundation (HCIF) 7.23, the following errors occur and the PCS configuration page does not open.

Error Messages

• "Could not create the define time wrapper of Application HC_USA_PRODUCT_COMPOSER:07.22 from db for ruleset PegaHC-USA-PCS:07-22-01"
• "Could not find the Owning Application by DB lookup for ruleset PegaHC-USA-PCS:07-22-01"
• Attempting to use the Rule-Admin-Product Import Application context HC_USA_Product_Composer:07.22 for ruleset PegaHC-USA-PCS:07-22-01 gives a "Declaratives may have problems." error.
• Exceptions occur while trying to get the ruleset list for access group "HC-USA-PCS:ProductDevelopment"

Steps to Reproduce

Attempt to use PCS application after installation onto a system with HCIF 7.23

Root Cause

The Application Rule for PCS requires updates to work properly with HCIF 7.23.


Apply Hotfix HFix-33850.
After installing this hotfix, verify the PCS application rule "HC_USA_Product_Composer" to have the foundation rulesets - PegaHC-PCS-Foundation and PegaPCS-Foundation.
