Unable to view and edit datatable

Summary



Whenever a datatable is opened from the portal, then all the columns are not getting displayed on the screen, and user is not able to edit the datatable in excel to add or update data.


Error Messages



No error messages.


Steps to Reproduce



1. Open the portal.
2. Open the corresponding datatable by clicking on the open icon beside the class.
3. Observe that all the columns of the datatable is not getting displayed.
4. Click on Edit in Excel button.
5. Observe that Datatable in not getting opened in excel format also.


Root Cause



The HTML was not getting generated for the data table columns.
The generation of the html was occurring in EditRow from EditRowHeader html rules of the baseclass.
All the properties available for the given class by inheritance is populated by LookupList activity in the PropsList page of the clipboard.

The call to the activity is made from the EditRowheader html file. At user the number of such properties is crossing the default pyMaxRecords value of 2000. Because of the properties not existing in the PropsList if condition in EditRowHeader and EditRow is evaluated false and HTML is not generated for the remaining columns.


 

Resolution



Increase the pyMaxRecords value to 10000 by setting the value of maxRecords parameter of LookupList in EditRowHeader
as mentioned below:
newParams.setValue("maxRecords", "10000 ");
