Unexpected behavior of drop down width

SA-20146

Summary

Drop down width extends beyond the controllers width when user click on it for the first time. If user click the same controllers 2nd time , the dropdown appears correctly.
This issue happens only in IE11. But in both IE- 8 and chrome it is working normally without extending the width.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

Configure a dropdown control in a section and run the use case on IE 11

Root Cause

This is a bug in IE11. The issue gets reproducible if a dropdown is placed inside an iframe and default focus is set to some other place.

Resolution

This is an issue with IE browser that the width expands. It happens only for dropdowns present inside an iframe and only when focus is not on any actionalble element. This is the reason it does not occur for every dropdown. If the focus is set manually somewhere by clicking anywhere outside or use a frameless container, the issue will not occur. PRPC does not change the dropdown width explicitly anywhere.
