Unsupported browser error in IE11

Summary
Application(CFS6.8 BA mode with HotFix-903.) is throwing an unsupported browser error in IE11 .
After further investigation, it is noticed that HTML5 version is coming as 7.0 and there is a check in checkbrowser.js :
alert(' check for isHTML5 --> ' + _browser);
if(_browser != null && parseInt(_browser)>=9){
return true;

Steps to Reproduce
Add localhost to compatibility view setting and launch CFS6.8 BA mode on IE 11.
Root Cause
Localhost addition to the compatibility view setting.
Resolution
Remove localhost from compatibility view settings.
