Steps to Reproduce

  1. Upgrade Pega Platform 7.4 to Pega Platform 8.3.1.
  2. Open a session on the Internet Explorer 11 browser.
  3. Open any Rule (for example, Activity.)
  4. Modify the Activity.

Root Cause

Issue with Browser Fingerprint generation.
Device Fingerprint/Machine Fingerprint/Browser Fingerprint is the information collected about a remote computing device for the purpose of identification. Fingerprints are used to fully or partially identify individual users or devices even when cookies are disabled.
Currently, Pega considers two properties related to the Graphics card for Browser Fingerprint generation. This caused the user to log off.

Resolution

This feature is implemented in Pega Platform 8.3.3.
