Validate rule name is displaying instead of error message

Summary



User has configured edit validate rule in property configuration, when the validation is triggered, error message is displaying with validate rule name along with the message which is not required.


Error Messages



Invalid value specified for DateOfBirth. Value doesn't adhere to the Validate: NotFutureDate


Steps to Reproduce



1. Create Edit validate rule and apply it on the date or to any control.
2. Configure a refresh section or post value for that control.



Root Cause

A software use or operation error that the edit validate rule runs on the server which will show the error as described above, while the validate rule will show the client side messages for any errors.

This is an expected behavior.



Resolution



Here’s the explanation for the reported behavior:

​Do not make any server call by any means if the edit validate rule is configured on the control, if it is made it will show the error in the specified format in Out-of-the-box (OOTB).
