Value of Currency field updated in Clipboard in unexpected way

User has  a repeat grid layout where user can edit the record by invoking action "Edit Item".

Inside the edit pop-up, user has included Currency field which is linking to a property. When the user is making changes to the field, and user click outside of the field, the value of the linked property in Clipboard is updated.

The issue happens when cell properties > Presentation > Editable Format > Display value using read-only formatting is checked.

In the read-only format, user adds $ symbol to the field. If the Display value using read-only formatting is not checked, then the issue is not happening.

The issue is occurring even when user clicks on the cancel button after updating the field, user will see the updated value when edits the item again.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

1. Enter values.
2. Click outside of the field.
3. Check clipboard, notice the field is updated.

Root Cause

If Display read only checkbox is selected, value is updated to server and readonly formatting is applied on the value and returned to the client so that formatted value is shown on blur in the field.

This is the design implementation of this feature. So value is updated in clipboard even if modal dialog is canceled.

Perform the following local-change:

User has to explicitly take the value of the property on opening the modal dialog and reset to it when modal dialog is canceled.
