SUMMARY:

Drop down is configured with the source as a report definition. The parameters passed to the report definition contain & in their values. However, the values cannot be retrieved from the report definition.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1. Create a section with a dropdown field X and an Autocomplete field Y 
2. Retrieve some data from the table for dropdown (X) which contains special characters like (&, (,)) 
3. Pass the dropdown value as a parameter for the Autocomplete field 
4. Retrieve values for Autocomplete using the report definition based on the parameter (dropdown X) which must act as a filter condition

ROOT CAUSE:

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.

RESOLUTION:

Apply HFix-56889.

Alternatively,
Perform the following local-change:

1. Create a List type datapage
2. Use the report definition as the data source for the data page
3. Configure an Autocomplete to configure the data page as a List source
