Steps to Reproduce

  1. During Load Performance tests observe that the JVM crashes several times.
  2. Examine the following files for one crash incident:

- Process crash file
- WLS log file
- PegaRules log file
- PegaRules-ALERT log file

Root Cause

A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment
Pega 7.1.9 is running on an unsupported stack.
Oracle Weblogic 10.3.2.0 with 1.7.0_55 JVM is not supported for Pega 7.1.9.

Resolution

Perform the following local-change:
  1. Refer to the Pega 7 Platform Support Guide, https://pdn.pega.com/documents/platform-support-guide, Page 24, the section Supported Server Platform List for Pega 7.1.0 - 7.1.9, Application Servers, and in the table Oracle WebLogic Server 11g (10.3.1 and higher). See the excerpt image below.
  2. Notice in that row of the table that Oracle does not support WebLogic Server 10.3.2 on Java 7.
  3. Update WebLogic Server to Version to 10.3.6 or the latest version.
  4. Re-run the Load Performance tests on your new, supported platform.
