Work indexing stuck on initiated

Summary



The indexing of work objects is stuck on the following message:

ReIndex of WORK is initiated by aa492533_1 on 20160509T112630.049 GMT

The re-index buttons are grayed out.

Error Messages



ReIndex of WORK is initiated by aa492533_1 on 20160509T112630.049 GMT

The following error occurs:
2016-05-16 00:56:22,724 [.PegaWorkManager : 6] [ STANDARD] [ ] [ PegaRULES:07.10] (nal.es.DistributedIndexerAgent) ERROR - Incremental indexing of 'WORK' entries failed: Indexing request failed. Please contact your system administrator.. Please contact your PegaRULES system administrator.

Steps to Reproduce



Click re-index on the system: Settings / Search screen.

Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.

Resolution



Perform the following local-change:

1. Stop all servers.
2. Truncate the pr_log_cluster and pr_sys_statusnodes tables.
3. Start single node, update the Search Landing page with appropriate NodeID by referring Clipboard > SystemPagespxProcess (pxSystemNodeID).
4. Perform the re-Index.
5. Start all servers.
As an alternative, use pzResolveFTSIndexEntry activity instead of truncating the pr_log_cluster table.
