wrong assignment information

SA-1995

Summary

Few times per day, the users were experiencing an unexpected error message on their screen when attempting to open an existing assignment from their Worklist. This error is an Out-Of-The-Box error message but it shouldn’t be generated on those cases because according to XML content and database queries, the assignment is still at the same place into the system.

Scenario:
1. Create a cover WorkObject with a Workbasket assignment.
2. Create a covered case on above cover previously created.
3. Close the covered case and move the cover to a worklist.
4. Then taking the assignment from the worklist, you will sometimes get the error.

Error Messages

"The flow this assignment corresponds to has been removed" appears on the screen.

Steps to Reproduce

We haven’t been fully able to replicate this unexpected behaviour internally, but the steps to reproduce are the following:

  1. Create a cover WorkObject with a Workbasket assignment
  2. Create a covered case on above cover previously created.
  3. Close the covered case and move the cover to a worklist
  4. Then taking the assignment from the worklist, you will sometimes get the error.

Root Cause

This unexpected behaviour is due to some conditions involving the Lock Manager which might occur if two threads attempted to update an instance at the same time.

Resolution

A new hotfix has been delivered. HFIX-9941 has been built on top of other hotfixes, so the associated delivery item will have a list of dependencies including hybrids.
