Wrong charge back amount is getting set for Reason Code 4860

Summary



When creating a chargeback using Reason Code (RC) 4860 and altering the chargeback amount, the change does not persist.


Error Messages



Not applicable.


Steps to Reproduce



1. Search any MasterCard account.
2. Dispute any transaction.
3. Select Reason code 4860.
4. Answer all the ancillary questions.
5. Change the charge back amount.
6. Submit for approval.
7. After approval in charge back tab, one can see charge back amount changed to dispute amount.


Root Cause



MasterCard is deprecating Reason Code 4860 and credit lenders are rejecting uses of this RC.

Resolution




Use RC-4853 for future cases.
